NIHR and German Embassy discuss enhancing technical cooperation.

Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received His Excellency Mr. Clemens Hach, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Alderazi welcomed Mr. Hach, praising the ongoing cooperation between the NIHR and the German embassy in the fields of expertise exchange, training, and capacity building. This collaboration falls within the framework of a cooperation agreement signed by both parties in 2022, which aims to enhance human rights through technical cooperation between the two sides.

During the meeting, the parties discussed aspects of joint cooperation and exchanged views and perspectives on human rights in general. They also explored ways to technically support the institution in developing the capacities of civil society organizations in the field of human rights, by organizing specialized training courses and workshops in the rights field.
